Bolgatty Palace - Cochin

Cochin or Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala, has many exciting tourist places related to Dutch and Jews. Bolgatty Palace is one such interesting site. The Palace is located on the picturesque Bolgatty Island in Kochi. This heritage building, constructed in 1744 by Dutch traders, served as the British residency till 1949.

The Palace has been converted into a heritage hotel, similar to some palaces in Rajasthan. We can see this from the outside by doing a boat ride. To get the heritage feel and experience, we need to stay in this hotel, which is slightly costlier.

Happy travelling.
