It was originally built in 1656 AD and rebuilt multiple times later. The current vast and impressive temple is built in red sandstone and hence got the name 'Lal temple' ('Lal' means 'red' in Hindi). The images of Lord Adinath, the founder of Jainism and Lord Parasnatha, the predecessor of Mahavira are also found in the temple. Happy travelling.
