Lal Bagh - Bangalore

Bangalore, officially recognized as Bengaluru, proudly serves as the capital city of the Indian state of Karnataka. With its thriving IT industry and a moniker as the 'Silicon Valley of India,' the city boasts the presence of major tech giants. Beyond its technological prowess, Bangalore is celebrated for its delightful climate and an array of tourist attractions, encompassing lush parks, serene gardens, and historic temples. Today, let's embark on a journey to explore the captivating Lal Bagh.

Lal Bagh, a renowned botanical garden, stands as a testament to the grand vision of Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore, who aspired to craft a garden reminiscent of the splendid Mughal Gardens. His dream began to take shape in the 18th century CE, but it was his son, Tipu Sultan, who realized it in all its glory.

During the late 19th century CE, the garden covered a modest expanse of 45 acres. However, the allure of Lal Bagh continued to grow, and additional acres were seamlessly integrated. Today, this prominent attraction sprawls across approximately 240 acres of land, inviting visitors to lose themselves in its enchanting landscapes.

The heart of Lal Bagh hosts a picturesque lake and a diverse array of flora that encompasses thousands of species. Some of the magnificent trees that grace this garden have witnessed over a century of Bangalore's history. While Lal Bagh enchants throughout the year, the annual flower show is a particular highlight, attracting visitors from near and far to witness its breathtaking beauty.

As you set foot in this botanical wonder, be prepared to embark on a journey through time and nature, where tranquility and beauty harmonize in perfect unity. Lal Bagh welcomes all with open arms to explore its lush realms and vibrant colors.

Happy travelling.
