Nungambakkam Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal Temple - Chennai, South India

Nungambakkam, one of the most vibrant areas in Chennai, is home to two significant temples—one dedicated to Lord Shiva and the other to Lord Vishnu. The Vishnu temple houses Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal as the presiding deity.

In this temple, Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal is enshrined in a standing posture, flanked by his consorts, Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. The temple complex also features separate shrines for Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita, along with Hanuman and Andal. The goddess Padmavathi has her own dedicated shrine, and a small image of Ganesha is carved on the temple wall.

Happy travelling.
