Nungambakkam Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal Temple - Chennai, South India

Nungambakkam, the most happening area of Chennai city is South India, has two important temples - one for Lord Shiva and another for Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is named as Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal in Nungambakkam temple.

Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal is in the standing posture and found along with his consorts Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. Apart from the main shrine, the temple also has separate shrines for various deities such as Rama-Lakshman-Sita, Hanuman and Andal. The goddess of the temple Padmavathi is also found in a separate shrine. A small image of Ganesha is found on the temple wall.
