Pillar Rocks is one of the important tourist sites in Kodaikanal, the Princess of Hill Stations, in South India. Pillar Rocks View Point site is located near Guna Caves in the outskirts of Kodaikanal. There are three huge boulders of 500 meters high stand. As they look like stone pillars, they are called as Pillar Rocks.

Below and between these huge masses of stone, there are deep caverns. These caves are called as Guna Caves. These rocks were formed due to the pressure excerted from 5 to 10 Kilo bar and also due to the temperature of 700 degree C to 1100 degree C.

A very good view of Periyakulam town and Agamalai can be seen from this view point. If there is no mist, one could get the clear view of all these three naturally formed pillar like rocks. There is a small waterfalls called as Pillar Rocks waterfalls found near this view point.
