ECR Sai Baba Temple

The East Coast Road in Chennai, which is popularly known as ECR,  is one of the city's most happening places. Shirdi Sai Baba temple, located on ECR, is one of Chennai's most beautiful and calm places.

Indians know very well about Sai Baba. For the sake of the global audience who read this post, let me brief about Sai Baba. Sai Baba was a saint who lived in a place named Shirdi in Central India towards the end of the 19th century CE and the beginning of the 20th century CE. Sai Baba's devotees consider him either as God or someone equivalent to God.  Hence, you can find Sai Baba's temples all over India.

This ECR temple is located inside a big estate surrounded full of trees. The place is very near to the beach. So, you can feel the sea breeze from here. The temple is very calm and peaceful, and it is very well maintained.

The presiding deity of the temple is Sai Baba. Besides, it houses many deities such as Ganesha, Subramanya with Valli-Devsena, Rama with Sita, Lakshmana, Hanumana, Radha Krishna, Vishnu and Navagrahas. There is a small hall with full of Sai Baba's pictures and photographs.

Do visit the temple and enjoy the serenity of the place.

Happy travelling.
