Mystic Aquarium - An Overview

Mystic town is located in Connecticut (CT) state in the USA. Mystic was founded in 1654 and quickly rose to prominence as a shipbuilding center. Nowadays, Mystic has become known for its world-class Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration.

Mystic Aquarium is the home of beluga whales, stellar sea lions, fur seals, penguins, sea stars, bats, colorful birds, unicornfish, octopus, shark, sea horse, and many other exciting creatures from the oceans of our world. The aquarium was opened in 1973 by a privately owned corporation, and it was opened for public in 1997.

Mystic is located approximately one hour and twenty minutes away from New London, Bradley International Airport. If you want to travel by train, you can use Amtrak's Northeast Service. There is a train station in Mystic. If you want to reach Mystic by road, it is located about 10 miles east of New London in Connecticut's "Ocean Corner." Browse for Google's driving directions from your city/town.

You won't find problems with staying, eating, or shopping in Mystic. There is a lot of budget and high-class hotels in and around Mystic.

Let me take you inside the aquarium and explore each exhibit in detail in my forthcoming posts. Till then...

Happy travelling.
