Bhagandeshwara Temple, Bhagmandala, Coorg

Bhagmandala is a small town located at a distance of about 33 kms from Madikeri city. In this town, a famous temple for Lord Shiva is found.

As per the legend, Bhaganda Maharishi installed Shivlinga (the presiding deity of this temple), and hence Shivlinga is called Bhagandeshwara. Accordingly, the town is named as Bhagmandala.

Situated right next to Triveni Sangam, this temple is built as per the Kerala temple architectural style. Besides the main shrine for Lord Shiva, the temple also enshrines Vishnu, Ganesha and Subramanya.

When you go to Coorg, do visit to this calm and beautiful Ktemple and get the blessing of Lord Shiva. Let me post more articles on Coorg. Till then...
