Jagannath Temple:

Puri Jagannath Temple is the most popular temple in Puri. In fact, it is one of the most popular temples in the entire country (India). Although as per the legend and other records, the temple must be much older, as per the historical records the current structure of the temple was built by the Ganga Kings in the 12th century CE. The temple is built as per the Kalinga type of temple architecture.

The main deities of the temple are Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. The sanctum sanctorum also enshrines Madhava, Sri Devi and Bhoo Devi. This gigantic temple also has the shrines of Lakshmi, Surya, Narasimha, Revati, Vimala, Kanchi Ganesh, Kasi Vishwanath and Bhubaneswari.
