Melody Wax Museum of Mysuru

Mysore is noted for its magnificent palace and other heritage structures - it's well-known. Nevertheless, your visit to this historic city cannot be claimed to be complete if you do not go to Melody World Wax Museum, which has the largest collection of musical instruments in India.

Located in a 100 years old heritage building in a vast panoramic garden below the Chamundi hills, the museum was started in 2010 CE.

How many musical instruments do we have? Indeed, no one could play all those instruments? But can anyone name all of them? Not sure! It's unbelievable - literally unbelievable to find such a massive number of instruments. The museum already has more than 1500 instruments. And the collection keeps growing.

What is your taste? Traditional, modern or tribal music? Percussion, stringed, wind or electronic? You can find all kinds of music instruments.

Besides, the museum exhibits more than 100 life-size wax statues. Most of them depict imaginary musicians playing music with varieties of instruments.

Happy travelling.
