Katara Cultural Village - Doha

The State of Qatar is a small country located in Western Asia. Its capital city, Doha, is famous for its many-star hotels and skyscrapers. Among them, Katara Cultural Village is unique, representing Qatara's old traditions, culture, art, and architecture.

Catar was the ancient name of Qatar. Named after the original name of the country, this cultural village is the hub for the city's cultural heritage. It was built on the reclaimed land along the coast of Katara beach.

The 1.5 km long beach lets the visitors enjoy the typical beach experience and many water sports opportunities such as skiing, kneeboarding, boat rides, and parasailing. There is a children's play area too. The other side has various eateries, tea shops, a conference hall, a multi-purpose cinema hall, and a vast open ampi-theatre.

The architecture is as per the ancient tradition. The walls and windows of the village's structures display Qatar's old art work. The mosque, built in the Qatar architectural style, looks very attractive.

Happy travelling.
