First on the list is Daddabe Falls, affectionately known as Buttermilk Falls or Jhari Falls. This waterfall greets travelers on their journey from Mullayanagiri to Baba Budan Giri, approximately 17 kilometers from the former. The last leg, spanning 2-3 kilometers, can only be traversed by Jeeps, as private cars are prohibited beyond a certain point.
Continuing along the route, you'll come across Honnamana Halla Waterfalls, conveniently situated en route to Baba Budan Giri. Although modest in size, its proximity to the road makes it a favored stop for travelers who relish the opportunity to bathe beneath its refreshing cascade.
Lastly, Manikyadhara Waterfalls beckon just 3 kilometers from Baba Budan Giri. While the road leading to Baba Budan Giri is well-paved, the journey to these falls becomes quite rugged, meandering through rocky terrain. To reach the falls, one must ascend numerous steps to reach the hilltop. These falls, also known as Nellikayi Teertha, hold sacred significance for both Muslims and Hindus. Legend has it that Dada Hayath brought forth these falls to provide a water source near the caves of Baba Budan Giri. From this vantage point, visitors are treated to a breathtaking view of the Devaramma hills.
Embark on your journey and relish the enchanting beauty of Chikmagalur's waterfalls.
