Prachin Bharion Mandir (which means "the ancient temple of Lord Bhairav") is one of the important temples of Delhi city, the capital of India. This Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Bhairav, who is found as a Parivara Devta in Shiva temples. However, he is considered as one of the powerful Gods by Delhiites and one can find a lot of temples for Bhairav in and around Delhi region.

Prachin Bhairav Mandir is located in the Kalkaji area of Delhi, diagonally opposite to Nehru Place Bus Stand. The structure of the temple is built based on the modern day North Indian temple architectural style. The temple is full of various marble idols.

The presiding deity of the temple is  Bhairav. It is a bust image. The fierce face of idol with big eyes alone is found in the form of idol, and not the remaining part of the body. The temple also has other idols such as Shiva, Kali, Ranganath, Ganeshan, Ram-Lakshman-Sita & Hanuman, Tirupati Balaji and Radha Krishna.

When you go to this temple, ensure that you also visit the most popular Kalkaji temple located near this place.

Happy travelling.
