After visiting Kodaikanal, the popular travel destination in South India, I stopped calling any other city as 'City of Waterfalls'. Kodaikanal is dotted with so many small and big waterfalls which no other city and town could offer. Let us explore about two small little known waterfalls in Kodaikanal, Fairy Falls and Lyril Falls.

Fairy Falls as well as Lyril Falls are located in Pambarpuram area in Kodaikanal. Fairy waterfalls is very beautiful and it is located along with a small dam in a very secluded area full of trees. The falls is very tall. During monsoon, this place looks heavenly beautiful as the waterfalls is in full force.

Lyril Falls is a very small waterfalls located at a distance of around 1 km from Fairy Falls. As the advertisement of Lyril soap was shot in this waterfalls in the early 1980s, the waterfalls is called as Lyril Falls.

Putlur Angala Parameswari Temple - Chennai

Angala Parameswari Temple in Putlur, near  Chennai  city of South India, is a unique temple. The Goddess is in the form of a pregnant woman in this temple. The icon of Angala Parameswari is believed to be self-manifested, called swayambhu.  As per the legend, a village head tortured a poor for borrowed money. The poor was forced to plough an infertile land. While ploughing the ground full of rocks, the villager noticed that blood was oozing out from a particular place. There, he discovered the image of the Goddess. A 17th century Dargah with healing power - Mount Road Dargah, Chennai, India

Mount Road or Anna Salai is one of the most happening places in  Chennai . There are two famous Islamic shrines on Mount Road – one is  Thousands Light mosque . The other one is Dargah-e-Hazrath Syed Moosa Shah Qadri Baghdadi (Rahmatullah Alaihi), also known as Mount Road Dargah. It is the most popular Dargah across the city.
