Abbi Falls, Madikeri (Coorg)

Abbi falls, also called as Abbey falls, is located at a distance of around 5 kms from Madikeri city. Abbi falls is the second most beautiful falls in Coorg region. The word 'Abbi' means waterfalls in the local language of Coorg.

Abbi falls is located inside a calm and pleasant coffee estate. The vehicles can go only till the entrance. From the entrance, a downhill walk of about half a km will take us to the waterfalls. On the way to the waterfalls, we can watch beautiful coffee plantations on both sides.

You can visit Abbi falls throughout the year, though the best season is during monsoon. During monsoon, the water flow is very high.

Taking bath in the waterfalls is not allowed. We can watch the beauty of waterfalls by standing in the hanging bridge in front of the falls. Don't miss Abbi falls if you visit Coorg. This is definitely one of the best destinations in Coorg.
