Kamaraj Memorial House - Chennai

Popularly known as Kamaraj Illam, the memorial house of Shri Kamaraj is located in the T Nagar locality in Chennai. He was a patriot and freedom fighter. He served as the party leader of the Congress party and was considered the kingmaker. He also served as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu state. His rule is still remembered for good governance. The memorial is a small two-storey building. Some important photographs depicting the significant events of the leader are displayed. Some artifacts used by the late leader are also shown in this museum. The statue of Kamaraj stands in front of this important landmark of the city. Shantinath Jain Temple, Chennai

Shantinath Jain temple, popularly called T Nagar Jain temple, is the most important Jain temple in Chennai city.  The magnificent marble temple has Shantinath as the principal deity. he is flanked by Sunvrath and Shreyansanath on either side. Mahavir and Gauthama are also found near the sanctum. The ceiling contains small sculptures of musicians, dancers and various Jain deities.  The prakara (corridor) surrounding the main shrine has two more shrines. The first shrine is dedicated to Padmavathy. The second shrine has six icons - Adinath, Anthariksha Parswanath, Jirawala Parswanath, Padmaprabhu, Sheetalnath and Neminath.
