Thiruvenkidom Temple, Guruvayur, Kerala, India

Guruvayur town, located in Kerala state, is famous for its Guruvayurappan temple. There is another temple located in the same town. It is  a small temple for Lord Tiruvengadanathar aka Thiruvenkidom, located near Guruvayur railway station.

The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Balaji (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu), called as Tiruvengadanathar. The idol looks like the famous Tirupati Venkatachalapati idol. However, this is smaller in size. The temple also has other idols and shrines such as Navagraha, Muneeswaran in the form of Linga, Ganesha and Bhagavati.

Happy travelling.
