Abbi Falls, Madikeri (Coorg)

Abbi Falls, also called Abbey Falls, is located at a distance of around 5 km from Madikeri city. It is the second most beautiful waterfall in the Coorg region. The word 'Abbi' means waterfalls in the local language of Coorg.

Abbi Falls is located inside a calm and pleasant coffee estate. The vehicles can go only to the entrance. From there, a downhill walk of about half a km will take us to the waterfalls. On the way to the waterfalls, we can view beautiful coffee plantations on both sides.

We can visit Abbi falls throughout the year, though the best season is during monsoon. During monsoon, the water flow is very high.

Coorg Travel Guide

Taking a bath in the waterfalls is not allowed. We can watch the beauty of waterfalls by standing in the hanging bridge in front of the falls. Don't miss Abbi Falls if you visit Coorg. It is one of the best destinations in Coorg, for sure.
